Summary

The monograph discusses the possible trajectories of the Bulgarian corporate model. Leading theoretical approaches are examined. Corporate regulation in our country is discussed in comparison with the leading industrial countries in Central and Eastern Europe. Empirical studies of the structure of corporate ownership and its corresponding mechanisms of external and internal control are presented. The dynamics of stock market trading are tracked. It is concluded that the Bulgarian corporate model is formed on the border between strict imitation of leading international models and the specifics and traditions of the country. This predetermines the contradictory nature of its development.
